The exhibition was staged at the end of the centenary year celebrations of Tel Aviv-Jaffa. Ten Arab and Jewish Jaffa residents were interviewed before the exhibition, which set out to shed light on the intricacy of life in this mixed city, and protest the urban problems unique to the residents of Jaffa.

The title "Habitus," refers to a combination of two notions: Pierre Bourdieu's concept of habitus and the notion of habitation, dwelling place, in the ecological context, and in the architectural context.


Naama Meishar has installed a scrap of the pastoral inside the gallery: a poplar grove on a surface of Eucalyptus leaves. The pastoral forest is is exposed as an arena of political and social power relations and domination.
